It’s almost that time of year when my author friends and I get together and do a booth at the AFHE Homeschool Convention exhibit hall. Any of you who have been following this blog long enough probably have heard of our group, which we call Generation Rising Authors. We did try a couple of times to make Gen Rising something bigger and better, and there was even talk of expanding to other states and creating an author network, but that kinda never materialized, so we stayed as just a little booth at our local convention, as well as having an Instagram and Facebook page. Unfortunately three of our authors have dropped out for the present, but that leaves four or five of us that will be there, depending on how many books come in.
Speaking of books coming, mind have all arrived! I’m super excited, and The Minstrel: A Legend’s Redemption is super thick! I also got some copies of The Mysterious Case of $12.52 ordered, and I still have plenty of copies of TAT from last time.
My family has been super cool and excited for me. They already read through The Minstrel since it arrived, and Ezra started reading $12.52. I think my sister’s books also arrived, and I’m starting to get really excited. Two or three of my family at my home-away-from-home (in other words, my carpool buddy/coworker’s house) also started reading it and seem to be enjoying it as well, which is always good.
Also, just wanted to give you all a heads-up that I’ve finally got my Instagram set up, and will be trying to post little updates regularly there (mostly book stuff, but I’ll probably run out of that pretty quick and just do random life stuff like everybody else). I’m still planning on posting to this blog when I get the chance, but blogs are a bit of a dying platform, and so I’m being forced to modernize. You can find me on Instagram as malachiauthor. We’ll see if I actually end up doing anything with it, since I’m so lazy about all this stuff.
PS. This post is unedited, as usual.
